A big sister

Sooo...we have some pretty big news- Eshbaugh Baby #2 is on its way! We found out on our 6 year anniversary- July 26! it's so amazing to see the differences in the way I feel and think about this baby as opposed to the first one. It's all so very different, and a new experience. So far, I have felt alright, but pretty nauseous. My belly is definetly already expanding- which leads my mom to believe maybe it could be twins (AHHHHH!). Kailyn is of course not real sure what we are talking about, but i just know she is going to be a great big sister. We're saying our prayers and hoping that this moves along as smoothly as possible.

Vacation!!

We were very fortunate to be able to get away for almost a week to Naples Florida! Rob's aunt has a condo that was available, (thank you so much!) and Rob had some air miles piled up, so we headed out. Before the airplane took off...As it hit its top speed on the runway, Kailyn turned from the window to look at me and said "WHEEEEEE!" It was too priceless!

First time at the beach- Kailyn called it the big sandbox. At the pool- we had it to ourselves most of the time since the condo community was practically abandoned for the hot months.

One of the beaches we went to had a small cove that did not get any waves. We had to walk across the water with all of our things above our heads to get to the ocean beach. It was so neat!

Medina County Fair

We were very excited to try out a new fair this year! Kailyn loved being pulled in the wagon as we looked at all of the animals. they had a kiddie town where she could take "driving lessons" in the coupe car, and draw on chalkboards.

More summer fun!

To the zoo!

We have a fantastic zoo in Akron. We only made it there once this summer, but plan on going back as much as possible! Kailyn loved watching the animals and watching the other kids watch animals too.

Reunions

We were lucky enough to have 2 family reunions this summer. We enjoyed the Ringie side (dad's side) at Lion's Park in Tallmadge. Even though it wasn't the prettiest of days, it was so neat to see everyone and catch up with them. I loved listening in to the trivia game about my great-grandparents- I learned quite a bit!

We didn't have much better weather at the Wells (Rob's moms side) reunion either, and Kailyn was getting over a nasty round of being sick. Again though, it was nice to sit and chat with people we hadn't seen for awhile. This one was at Munroe Falls Park.

Let's Play!!

My absolute favorite thing about summer break is playing. Kailyn and I have been playing and playing every day- as much as possible. Just when I think she's out of energy, she surprises me with a "run, mommy, run!" and off we go chasing each other around the house or yard.
Going down her slide- at first she experimented walking up it, sliding on her belly, and even going down standing up, but now she's ok with just flying down as fast as possible on her bottom.

Kailyn and her buddy Logan in the pool. We go to storytime on Tuesdays at the library and then hang out with "baby Lo" and his mama Julie.

A major mistake on daddy's part- he took her to the icecream truck that circulates the neighborhood at least twice daily. As you can imagine she now knows the song and cries out "icream icream" when it goes by. Thanks honey- I'm sure you're laughing while you are at work.

Bevan graduates!!

We went down to Fairborn to visit Bevan and celebrate his graduation the second weekend in June. He showed us his new apartment that he was about to move into. It's great- it's on the air force base, so he has a wonderful community around him.

Kailyn was super excited to see that the hotel had a pool. All she wanted to do was "swim, swim, swim~!" Grammy enjoyed toodling her around in the pool!

Can you find Bevan?? He was one of the first graduates to cross the stage! A job well done!! Congratulations Bevan on graduating Cum Laude!

Some new house firsts~!

With us moving, we made the decision to transition Kailyn to a "big girl" bed when we got the the new house. We thought it would make it fun for her and take away some of the nervousness of a new home. W choose a bed that she'll hopefully use for many many years. The lower part pulls out so it's low to the ground, and then mommy can sleep in the regular part if she wants :) First night in the bed!!! Amazingly, she's done very well and hasn't gotten up once. We did leanr very quickly to put a big fluffy pillow at the end though to catch her rollovers.

Here was our first breakfast at the new house! We weren't even staying there yet (we ended up having a few kinks with the signing process- so we moved our stuff in, but didn't stay for a few days), but we spent some days there moving things in and getting used to it before the first big night!!

We had the chance to go to one of the Cavs watch parties when they were playing in Orlando. Let's just say the game we went to was the beginning of the end. :( It was so neat to sit at the Q though and watch the game surrounded by thousands of fans!

We've got lots to catch up on, and zillions of pictures coming very soon. First we have to find the battery charger for the camera. It was listed as being in box 57, but did not appear as I unpacked it! Yikes! I promise, a new post with pics of new house and of course of Kailyn soon! (even some of Bevan graduating! YES from college!! :) )

14 days- gotta be a record!

Well, last I checked in on here we had just put our house up for sale. 14 days after that- it was sold! We are still in a bit of shock-especially with all the talk about the horrible sellers' market. As of now we are closing on this house on April 21st, however, this is not set in stone and we're hoping it will get pushed back. We don't close on our new house until June 5th. So until we really have our "get out" date finalized, we're putting some of that stress on the back burner and trying to enjoy our last couple of weeks at our house. (And then Kailyn and I pack a few boxes every once and a while :) )
